Common Faults, Causes and Troubleshooting

1. Difficult or blocked forward/backward shifting movement: The inner core cable suffers from dry friction and lack of lubrication; the cable housing is deformed, crushed or bent sharply, restricting the free sliding of the inner wire.

2. Gear shifting has obvious delay and poor response: The internal steel cable is stretched after long-time working, the clearance of connecting parts increases, leading to insufficient effective stroke for gear engagement.

3. Gear pops out automatically after engagement: The cable assembly is not fixed firmly, mounting brackets are loose; or the inner cable is stuck intermittently, failing to stay in the correct gear position.

4. Abnormal rattling noise during gear operation: The rubber damping sleeves and limit cushions are aged, cracked or missing, creating metal-to-metal contact and vibration noise when driving.
